Shure MV7 being dynamic functions relatively simple like a speaker in reverse, inside lines of flux from the magnet is a small coil of wire, that is attached to a diaphragm which moves with the sound vibrations. The coil converts the movement into an electrical energy that can be recorded.
HyperX DuoCast is a condenser mic that works by using charged metal plates instead of a coil and magnets. One metal plate, known as the backplate is fixed, and the other known as the diaphragm is movable, the distance between the plates changes when sound waves hit the movable plate which produces capacitance
HyperX DuoCast is a USB microphone, such microphones are plug and play and easy to use they are also typically affordable, and portable. USB microphones are great for making podcasts.
Also, Shure MV7 is a USB microphone, they have a built-in analog-to-digital converter. If you record solo, the one accessory you need is a USB cable that you then plug into your computer's USB port.
If you desire a Like the @v_product, the Shure MV7 too is an XLR microphone, this type of mic doesn’t include the ADC and will give an analog output that is typically balanced on pins 2 and 3 of the connector to eliminate noise induced in the cable to the recording equipmentisVersed != true | If you desire a Like the @v_product, the Shure MV7 too is an XLR microphone, this type of mic doesn’t include the ADC and will give an analog output that is typically balanced on pins 2 and 3 of the connector to eliminate noise induced in the cable to the recording equipment.
The HyperX DuoCast comes with a shock mount, most condenser mics come with a shock mount, which is circular and uses an elastic suspension that helps reduce vibrations transferred by handling that could cause audio interference.
HyperX DuoCast comes with a pop filter, this filter is a great tool for upping your audio. These diffuse the pressure of the air coming from certain vocal sounds, e.g., sibilants (s sounds). This helps capture a cleaner recording without those ear-piercing exaggerations.
Like the HyperX DuoCast, Shure MV7 also comes with a pop filter, commonly condenser microphones do not have built-in pop filters like most dynamic microphones.
HyperX DuoCast has the cardioid polar pattern, microphones that use this pattern have a wide on-axis receiving area and max rejection at 180 degrees off-axis. To further explain, this pattern is more directional and sensitive to the front of the microphone in the on-axis position, and reduces in sensitivity in the sides and a null point in the base of the microphone.
Both Shure MV7 and HyperX DuoCast use the cardioid polar pattern, a 1:1 combination of the Omni & Bidirectional. The combination creates a heart-like pattern when plotted on a 360-degree sphere.
The HyperX DuoCast has the omnidirectional polar pattern, which can receive sound from all sides. Omni mics are equally sensitive to sound coming from all angles. You do not need to point them in any particular direction to capture the source sound
HyperX DuoCast has its lowest frequency at 20Hz, a mic that can pick a low frequency below 30Hz is best for miking, and toms, or if you're looking for a bass drum microphone.
Shure MV7's lowest frequency is at 20Hz, this implies that
both devices have equal low frequency
The HyperX DuoCast's upper limiting frequency is 20,000Hz, which implies that sounds at a frequency above this won't be recorded. In a perfect world, a microphone's frequency response should be a one-to-one reproduction, in reality, some vibrations get lost during the process and some of the information doesn't make it to the output recording.
Shure MV7's highest frequency is at 20,000Hz, this implies that
both devices have equal high frequency
HyperX DuoCast's sensitivity is measured at 501mV/Pa, this tells you what the electrical output of a microphone will be for a given acoustic input. The higher the number, the more sensitive the microphone is.
The Shure MV7's sensitivity is 1.8mV/Pa, which implies that
HyperX DuoCast got a higher sensitivity which means it "picks up" quieter sounds than Shure MV7,
microphone sensitivity is measurement of it's efficiency as a transducer i.e. how well it converts acoustical energy to electrical voltage.
HyperX DuoCast has RGB lighting, there is not much really to enhance your recording but primarily for aesthetic purposes, adding visual flair and customization options to the microphone.
HyperX DuoCast has the tap-to-mute feature which allows you to quickly mute the microphone by touching a designated area of the microphone's body. This is advantageous during situations where you need to have a conversation say with someone during a recording session that doesn't need to be recorded.
Both Shure MV7 and HyperX DuoCast have this capability, It greatly makes better your user experience during voice recording.
HyperX DuoCast includes a headphone output, this feature allows you to directly check on the audio signal captured by the mic in real-time, with no delay. This is useful in broadcasting, and live performance situations where instant audio feedback is essential.
Since both Shure MV7 and HyperX DuoCast have a headphone output you can use each of these microphones to monitor the audio signal in real-time, offering low-latency feedback and convenient volume adjustments directly from the microphone itself.
HyperX DuoCast is compatible with PS4, PS5, personal computer (PC), and mac.
